About the Job
Contributes to the Hospital?s mission by collaborating with patient and insurance companies to initiate the billing process for scheduled procedures to minimize delays and problems and to streamline the reimbursement process. This revenue support administrative staff position will have an impact on fiscal stability by collecting copays and ensuring required authorizations and referrals are obtained to facilitate timely reimbursement and in patient satisfaction by minimizing the anxiety that can be caused by insurance glitches, unexpected expenses, and the associated insurance related paperwork.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Some clerical experience or experience in a healthcare setting
+ 1 year of completed college may be considered in lieu of relevant experience
Preferred: Experience with third party insurance
Other Skills/Knowledge
+ For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team
+ Strong customer service/relations skills
+ Ability to collect money in a professional and empathetic manner
Days, 40 hour per week

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
