About the Job
Under the direction of the Manager of Supply Chain, supervises staff and the day to day activities of the distribution, shipping/receiving, operational and logistics functions of Supply Chain at Lahey. This position is responsible for the timely receipt and delivery of all clean supply room inventory, storeroom/distribution orders and all product shipped to WH Stoneham location (95 Maple Street) in order to meet the end users/customer?s requirements. Coordinates and oversees the proper daily ordering of all inventoried supplies insuring that accurate inventory levels are maintained daily and all inventory issues are addressed in a timely manner. This position has direct supervisory responsibility for multiple areas including Supply Chain Distribution, Inventory, and Shipping/Receiving.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:
+ Supervision of Staff: Supervises the day-to-day assignments of staff working with the distribution of medical/surgical supplies and the management of all par level systems including, but not limited to Pyxis med/surg stations and clean supply rooms. Supervises the activities of assigned staff responsible for the timely receipt, inspection and delivery of materials, supplies and equipment delivered daily through shipping and receiving operation.
+ Compliance: Ensures that policies, procedures, quality assurance, and customer service standards are followed. Supporting Manager by participating in the development and implementation as well as the monitoring of all department policies, procedures, technical guidelines and quality assurance standards. Ensures quality performance, customer satisfaction and adherence to the requirements of regulatory agencies.
+ Human Resources: Responsible for maintaining adequate staffing levels, interviewing, and employee relations. Working with Manager for completion of staff Performance Appraisals, Competence Assessment, Compliance and Mandatory Education. Counsels and disciplines assigned staff as needed, preparing proper supporting documentation and recommending changes in personnel status to Manager.
+ Staff Training & Education: Insures staff members complete annual required training needs, and works with Manager to develop and implement Supply Chain specific training. Assists in department orientation. .
+ Fiscal Accountability: Evaluates department and team needs and makes recommendations to Manager for capital expenditures. Operates within the allocated funds.
+ Interaction with Department Supervisors: Responsible for on-going interaction with clinical department leaders and all end users concerning their requests for services provided by the supply chain staff including package receipt and delivery status.
+ Communication: Supports Manager in particpating and leading on-going monthly staff meetings, keeping the staff up to date as to the information pertinent to their job functions. Acts as a resource for Nursing Staff with questions or concerns relative to par-levels, custom requisitions, call-downs, equipment and supplies. Informs the Manager of any concerns regarding staffing, employee relations, scheduling, inter-departmental issues (i.e.; Nursing, ORs, etc) or anything else involving distribution, inventory control.and/or shipping and receiving. Frequent communication required with Supply Chain staff, Purchasing, Suppliers, and end-users.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Knowledge of business processes typically acquired through attaining a Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: 1) Analytical skills 2) Knowledge of hospital supply/distribution systems 3) Strong oral and written communication skills 4) Basic computer competency skills 5) Positive interpersonal skills: is ?other-oriented? rather than focused on self. Listens effectively and communicates ideas and opinions clearly. Conveys assertiveness while showing respect and positive regard for others.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience. Peoplesoft, Pyxis and/or other Inventory Management systems experience a plus.
Full Time 40 Hours, M-F days

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
