About the Job
Contributes to the Hospital?s mission to care, to heal, and to excel in service to our community by being an integral part of the surgical services team assisting with patient care and responding to planned and unplanned surgical events. This non-licensed clinical staff position has an impact on reducing patient harm by preparing and maintaining sterile fields and equipment and on physician satisfaction and the overall effectiveness of the surgical services team by anticipating their needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Required: Graduate of an accredited or US Armed Forces Surgical Technologists school and/or program or employed as a Surgical Technologist at a surgical facility on or before July 1, 2013.
Preferred: At least one year operating room scrub experience
Other Skills/Knowledge:
Required:
+ Basic computer skills
+ For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team
Shift
Monday - Friday, per diem hours as needed by the department.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
