Summary:
This is a Massachusetts based roleAcquires new Bank relationships, actively manages portfolio of approximately 30-50 clients with annual revenues of $1 million to $50 million, and works closely with Office location partners.
Plays key role in building relationships with Bank's clients and delivers exceptional customer experience, designed to retain and grow relationships.
Home office based in Massachusetts
Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains new and existing business relationships.
Establishes productive referral network consisting of attorneys, accountants, and other professionals within market area.
Conducts research on businesses, reviews tax and financial statements, and interprets balance sheets, pro-forma ratios, annual budgets, and profit and loss statements.
Collaborates with credit department for receipt of applicant credit reports, background, reference checks, and financials in order to make an educated decision and/or approval for loans.
Negotiates loan structure, including interest rates, fees, loan repayment options and other credit terms.
Refers loans to higher authority for approvals.
Handles ongoing portfolio of commercial loans, including monitoring payments, financial performance and collateral position.
Assumes timely responsibility for compliance with approved loan covenants and regulatory requirements.
Prepares and organizes required reports, memos, and any other necessary documentation on a timely basis.
Cross sells products and services to existing relationships.
Promotes Bank's presence through participation and attendance at various civic and charitable event/organizations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with concentration in business, finance, or management or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5-10 experience in Commercial Banking (with applicable experience in Credit and or Portfolio Management) or related business development experience.
Knowledge of core business products and services.
Local market knowledge.
Excellent credit skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to meet deadlines.
Proven track record of loan production and outside calling skills.
Ability to develop strong client and colleague relationships.
Ability to develop, retain, and expand relationships with Centers of Influence (e.
g.
Certified Public Accountants and Attorneys).
Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Normal office environment.
Frequent sitting and standing at a desk.
Heavy keyboard use.
Moderate driving.
Required to be available outside of normal business hours.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
